PANCETTA ARROTOLATA - ROLLED PANCETTA

Pancetta is a cured meat that is obtained from the pig's abdomen and which is cured with salt, pepper and other spices and then seasoned for a variable amount of time.

 

The pancetta arrotolata is rolled upon itself and is rolled up for several days (at least 80).

Rolled pancetta is eaten in thin slices, raw in cold cuts platters accompanied by bread, flatbread, focaccia, tigelle or other baked goods.

It is rarely cooked (roasted for example) or used for cooking to give more flavour to sautées, soups or to wrap delicate meats such as chicken or rabbit or shrimp and shrimp.

 

Rolled pancetta is one of the most popular cured meats in Italy, it is produced in all the regions of our peninsula, in many of which it is included in the list of Traditional Agri-food Products (Trentino, Friuli, Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Veneto, Tuscany, Emilia, Umbria, Marche, Campania, Calabria and Basilicata).

 

Available in a vacuum packed.
